Angie Ohman, Project Manager
National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions
Angie became a part of the RDG family in 2017, bringing with her a wealth of lighting design expertise gained at Domingo Gonzalez Associates. At her previous role, she made significant contributions to projects such as the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s New Lab and SOM’s Miami Central High-Speed Rail Station. With a Master of Science in Lighting and a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Angie seamlessly transitioned into her role as a Project Manager at RDG.
In 2018, she wrote and illustrated Lighting Intuition for Architects in collaboration with the RDG team with the goal of making basic principles of lighting design more approachable and accessible. In 2022, Angie was named one of the 40 under 40 Lighting Designers. Beyond her professional pursuits, Angie finds joy and inspiration in the art of baking, using it as a creative outlet to test ideas and solve problems. During her downtime, you'll likely find Angie savoring a cup of coffee while exploring the MET or taking leisurely strolls through the parks of New York City with her family. Noteworthy projects under Angie's guidance at RDG include the American Museum of Natural History, the New York Public Library, and the New York Historical Society.
